  • We continue to provide financial support to critically ill patients who need to be referred to Kathmandu, in agreement with the hospital’s medical team.
  • We have carried out various collaborations with the public hospital and the local Health Posts, providing them with medicines and occasional personal assistance, and we have implemented deworming and vaccination campaigns.
  • We have brought an ultrasound machine from Catalonia that is of great help in establishing diagnoses and treatments and that we leave at the public hospital, when it is needed.
  • The planned recruitment of a doctor or nurse has been postponed until suitable facilities are available.
  • During the months of April and May, Marc Boix and the president of HuN were in Simikot carrying out advisory and control tasks. They were pleasantly impressed by how the local team is handling all the tasks. They took the opportunity to implement some minor changes in the daily work monitoring sheets, which are already being applied. This allows us to have much more information and control over their daily tasks, and to carry out studies on patient types and disease patterns. We greatly appreciate the effort that the workers have made to implement these changes.
  • We continue to help the special education center that serves deaf people.
  • We also continue to support the Thee He Youth Social Club in its health and sports initiatives.
