Who we are
Health Us Nepal
Our association was registered with the Generalitat on 3 November 2017 under the number 62,186. Our headquarters are located in Olot and we have delegations in Les Preses, Girona, Banyoles, Santa Coloma de Farners, Maçanet de la Selva, Blanes, Terrassa and Barcelona.
We operate in a deeply impoverished and isolated area of Nepal with the purpose of improving its health and education.
We have the financial and logistical support of more than a hundred members. We also receive donations from entities, municipal governments and individuals, among which the MAY-OUI foundation stands out.
On 19 October 2022 in DOGC 8775, the NGO obtained the designation of Public Utility, which allows all donations received to be tax deductible before the Treasury.

Marc Boix Bruguera
Founder of Health Us Nepal and Project Director
Doctor. Born in Nepal (1989), adopted at age 6 by the Boix Bruguera family from Girona and a doctor from the University of Barcelona (Hospital Clínic), he completed his residency until the start of his third year of anesthesiology and resuscitation at the Arnau de Vilanova Hospital in Lleida.
He has Spanish nationality and has a Nepalese Non-Resident (NRN) card which facilitates administrative procedures.
He is fluent in Nepali, which gives him a significant advantage in the association’s activities.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Humla regional authorities issued him a medical license so he could break isolation to treat patients from outside Simikot.
In May 2023 he returned to Catalonia and having established the operating protocols for the health center and the pharmacy, which are sent monthly, so that the team he has formed since 2018, consisting of a nurse, a pharmacist, an administrative worker and a warehouse and maintenance support staff, can fulfill their assigned function.
Communication with the team is ongoing, and the ability to manage payments electronically from here makes the project’s continuity viable, with regular visits from both Marc and members of the board team.
